Commerce Chenango announces workforce hiring initiative

NORWICH — Commerce Chenango is collaborating with Chenango County employers to provide a one-stop hiring event. Hosted at the Norwich Senior High School gym on Midland Drive in Norwich on Thursday, May 18, businesses and organizations attending all have immediate job openings that they will be interviewing for.

Commerce Chenango President and CEO Sal Testani said, “We are honored to be able to provide the Chenango County community with this opportunity and hope you see the value in attending.”

The event will bring job seekers, both students and adults, from Chenango County to explore immediate job openings. Attendees will be able to talk one-on-one with business representatives from corporate, small business, government, and non-profit organizations.

Students from Chenango County schools will attend from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., and the public is invited to attend from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

The following will be on hand with immediate job openings: Achieve, AutoZone, Baillie Lumber, Chenango County Personnel, Chenango County Sheriffs Dept., Chentronics, Chobani, City Of Norwich, CDO Workforce, GE Aerospace/Unison, Golden Artist Colors, Lowes, NBT Bank, New York State Veterans Home at Oxford, NYCM, Rentals To Go, Securitas, Springbrook, The Raymond Corporation, UHS-Chenango County Memorial, US Postal Service, and Visions Federal Credit Union.
