BASEBALL: B-G Defeats Whitney Point

BAINBRIDGE – On Friday, the Bainbridge-Guilford Bobcats baseball team came away with a dominant 10-2 victory against Whitney Point. The Bobcats’ offense started early with three runs in the first before putting up four runs in the fourth to gain a comfortable 7-0 lead, heading into the fifth inning.

Connor Davy led the Bobcats offensively as he went 2-for-4 at the plate, including an RBI triple in the first inning and hit a solo home run in the bottom of the sixth. Teammates Ethan Beames and Jose Bivar both had doubles in their plate appearances. Bivar, along with Tim Kinter, also drove in two runs in the win while Beames and Gavin Gifford each had one RBI.

Junior Julian Pruskowski got the start on the mound for B-G. He went six innings, allowing two runs on three hits, walked five batters, and struck out 10. Tim Kinter pitched an inning in relief, walking one batter and striking out three.

B-G stands at 6-5 on the season and travels to Deposit-Hancock this afternoon, weather permitting, at 4:30 p.m.
