Cedar Ridge, based in Clifton Park, New York has been playing together for 30 years and is still going strong. They play bluegrass festivals during the summer months, play for nursing homes, the Adirondack Bluegrass League, as well as other events and venues.

Members of the band include Ken Meyer, one of the founding members, who plays a great rhythm and lead guitar, and sings lead and harmony; Al Queen, one of the area's finest banjo players and another longtime member, who also sings lead and harmony; Tom Benson, who plays the mandolin, and sings lead and harmony; and Butch Ryan, an original member, who plays the doghouse bass and sings lead and harmony.
