Commerce Chenango hosts community safety presentation

NORWICH — Organized and hosted by Commerce Chenango, the focus of the community safety presentation will be on recognizing specific behaviors you might see in an assailant. The event, sponsored by Achieve, will be held at the Colonia Theatre at 35 South Broad Street in Norwich on Wednesday, April 26.

Featured speaker Joe Testani has over 32 years of investigative and managerial experience with the Federal Bureau of Investigation, where he served in the Philadelphia, Boston, and Buffalo Divisions. He was recognized as one of the Bureau’s top leaders and was considered an innovator in his field.

After leaving the FBI, Testani was the Director of the Justice and Security Institute at Roberts Wesleyan College where he oversaw the development of cutting-edge training, to include the emerging field of threat assessment and management. Testani is expected to provide an overview on how to identify the behaviors of an active assailant before your business or organization is faced with a real-time emergency.
