GREENE – The Greene Trojans tennis team began its 2023 season on Wednesday against Deposit/Hancock, where Greene took the victory 5-0.

In the singles, Maeric Barrows defeated Maddie Schloss with both sets ending in a 6-0 victory. Shane Rideout earned the win over Sam Griffin 6-0 and 6-1 while Alex Boel won both sets 6-0 and 6-1 against Alexis Mead.

For doubles, Cassie Butler and Paul Starliper succeeded against Noah Riter and Allison L. 6-0 and 6-0. Billie Kinney and Hunter Becker completed the contest with a win over Sophia A. and A. Rodriguez in both 6-0 sets.

Greene (1-0) is right back on the courts this afternoon as they travel to Delhi. The match is scheduled to begin at 4:30 p.m.
