NEW BERLIN — The Village of New Berlin and the Easter Bunny invite all local children and their parents to celebrate the playful side of the annual Easter Season Egg Hunt at 1 p.m. on April 8, located at Hyde Park on North Main Street.

New Berlin Mayor Peter Lennon said, “To ensure the Bunny is able to 'hop' on his busy schedule and maintain some 'spring in his step,' the village is coordinating for an escort from the New Berlin Firehouse through the streets of the village and up to the park.”

“Children will have an opportunity to not only look for eggs filled with treats, but shake hands and paws as the floppy-eared friend poses for pictures at the gazebo,” said Lennon.

Two areas will be set aside for children to search for eggs: one area will be for children ages one to five, and the other area for children ages five years and older.

The New Berlin Library and Museum is also “hopping” on the Easter trail and hosting a “Count the Jellybean” contest and Easter egg hunt.

The location of the library is 15 South Main Street. Visitors stopping by can guess the exact number of jellybeans in the jar and winner will receive an Easter basket filled with fun surprises.

Participants can put their name, phone number, and guessed number of jellybeans on a slip of paper and drop it in the library raffle bag. The winner will be announced on April 7.

The library Easter egg hunt will be at 3 p.m. on April 8. Hunt for eggs, enjoy refreshments, and play fun games.

New Berlin Easter excitement is in full swing. Visit the library and village to enjoy the music, egg hunting, and pose for a picture with one of spring’s favorite characters.
