Kelli in her own words:

I'm originally from Washington State and married the love of my life in my twenties. He was in the military so we traveled and moved quite often. Home was wherever we lived at the time. It was because of my husband's prior summer stays on the family farm in Coventry that we moved to Chenango County in 1996 and raised our children in Greene.

Our children are now grown and raising their own, we have two grand daughters and one grandson. Last year we celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary.

I'm a self-taught writer and have published a short story. Many other works are waiting for editing and shelved for future projects. I also love to paint. My work has been in studios throughout the states and overseas. I enjoy bird watching, cooking and being with family and friends.

We've come and gone from New York throughout the years, always knowing we will return. Our friends would say, see you later, instead of goodbye. In 2021, we were in Washington State and made the decision to move back. We purchased a house and finally settled in. We are home.

Most of my working life has been in banking. It was a wonderful career, yet something was missing. I still wished to write. Recently, I answered the ad in the paper for Reporter. Sent in my resume and interviewed. It was one of my greatest moments of my life when I was offered the position.

I love Chenango County. Each season brings new adventures. This is where you find friendly, outgoing people that care about each other. Chenango County is by far one of the best counties I have ever lived in.
