GREENE - After just getting past UV in the previous game, the Greene Trojans boys basketball team held on against Deposit/Hancock 60-51. The Trojans have won the last seven games to stand confident in second place in the MAC behind a strong Delhi team.

Greene had defeated Deposit-Hancock in the previous matchup 44-33, so they knew this game could be another close one. Both teams played a strong first half with the Eagles taking a brief 31-27 lead at halftime. Greene had to push for a comeback in the second half, which they were able to do.

The Trojans held the Eagles to six points as they posted 17. Deposit-Hancock fought back in the final eight minutes, but so did Greene, who outscored them 33-20 when it mattered most.

Liam Flanagan had his second consecutive game, where he led Greene with 14 points, hitting three three-pointers. Jaden Eroshevich finished with 12 points as William Dunlap and Kloden Rapp both had 10 points in the win.

Greene (12-4) hosts Walton on Tuesday, February 7 at 7 p.m. in what could be their final home game of the regular season.
