CONKLIN – In Tuesday’s match, the Norwich Purple Tornado bowling team split the match with the Sus Valley Sabers. The JV and Varsity boys both lost 4-1 while the Varsity girls earned the win by a 5-0 sweep.

The JV boys could not hold up against a strong Sabers youth, but continue to improve in the final few matches. Tim White led Norwich with a 447 series while Aidan Smith finished behind with a 408. White bowled a team-best of a 154 in the final game.

Tyler Bates bowled a 258 to finish with a 605 high series for the Varsity boys, but Norwich was outscored by a dominant Sabers team. Aleks Smietana finished second on the team with a 580 series, including a 234 in the middle game. Dawson Robinson, who struck a 300 game for his Vestal USBC team over the weekend, finished with a 579 series and had a 204 in the final game.

The Norwich girls continue to be led by Andie Mucha who settled in on a great outing with a 603 series. She bowled a 205 in the second game. Her teammates were consistent with Emma Manwarren (412) and Kathleen Bordonaro (437) finishing strong to secure the victory.

Norwich has their final regular season match against Windsor on Thursday afternoon at 3:40 p.m.
