NEW BERLIN – Coming off a historic match against Afton/Harpursville, the Bainbridge-Guilford Bobcats bowling team squared off against a fierce Unadilla Valley Storm.

UV boys and girls won both matches. For the boys, the Storm won 4-1 in a tight 3131-3065 fashion while the girls came away with a 2970-1272 to stay undefeated on the season. The UV boys only have two and a 1/2 losses and stand at 33.5-2.5 after splitting a half game in a match.

Jacob Prentice continues to excel for the Storm as he achieved his highest series of the season with a 720, making him second on the scoring leaders list behind teammate Owen Hill’s 758. Prentice finished all three games with at least a 215 or higher, including a 268 in his final game. He also holds the top overall average in the MAC league with a 217. Nate Rumovicz finished behind Prentice with a 666 with games of 203 or higher.

B-G took the final game of the match and saw Ryan Larsen and Collin Dicks have impressive scores. Larsen finished with a high series of a 689, including a team-best 256 on the day. Dicks, who is second on the overall average lists (215), bowled a 647 with a 247 in the final game. B-G is fourth in the MAC standings at 23-9.

The UV girls are standing tall at 36-0 this season, including the 5-0 sweep against B-G. Brynn Grant, who is currently second on the overall average list with a 195, finished with a high series of 654. The 654 is her highest series of the season and ranks second behind Sidney’s Cassie Cole (656). She is also tied with BG’s Catherine Fuller for the highest game with a 279, which she achieved in the second game.

Fuller led the Bobcats with a 565 series, including a 202 in the final game.
