GREENE – The Greene Trojans boys basketball team continues to be on a roll, winning their last five games, including a recent 64-32 win over Harpursville on Thursday. Prior to the game, Greene honored its four seniors. Liam Flanagan, Grayson Flanagan, Michael Swift, and Aiden Pickard were all appreciated for their dedication and commitment to the program. All have big dreams after high school and have enjoy making memories with their teammates, especially on bus rides after road wins.

Coach Rick Tallman elected to start all four seniors with the fifth starter being Sophomore Kloden Rapp. Upon doing so, Greene struggled and was held to four points in the first quarter off two points from Liam Flanagan and Joel Vielandi off the bench.

After about five minutes, Vielandi and company of Jaden Eroshevich, Trevor Ketcham, and William Dunlap entered along with Liam Flanagan staying in. Together, they found their usual rhythm quickly, making quick defensive stops before hustling and scoring and never looked back. Of course, the rest of the seniors went back into the game at the right time.

Junior Jaden Eroshevich lead all scorers with 20 points, including 13 in the third quarter with knocking down three three-point shots. Joel Vielandi finished behind him with 10 as senior Grayson Flanagan knocked down three three’s to finish with nine points.

Greene improves to an impressive 10-4 record, 5-1 in MAC (only loss to Delhi). They will face Deposit/Hancock on Wednesday, January 25 at 7 p.m.
