GIRLS BASKETBALL: UV Back On Track With Win Over Deposit/Hancock

DEPOSIT – On Wednesday, the Unadilla Valley Storm girls basketball team snapped a four-game skid with a 46-27 win over Deposit-Hancock. In the win, UV held Deposit to 13 points in the first half and took a brief 18-13 lead at halftime before coming out strong in the final 16 minutes.

The win also was a well-rounded team effort with several underclassmen stepping up, including Freshman Myriah Taylor. Taylor earned the start and finished with a career-high and team-best 12 points on the night. She had six points in the first quarter. Jaiden Schrag finished behind her with 10 points. Schrag, along with Kadence York also each picked up nine rebounds in the win.

UV is currently 5-9 on the season and will have a little bit of time to prepare for a tough Greene Trojans team. The MAC matchup will take place on Tuesday, January 24 at 7 p.m.
