GREENE – Over the last few games, the Greene Lady Trojans have seen many challenges come and go as they remain perfect on the season. After defeating Oxford late in the game last Saturday, Greene was up for another challenge vs Walton. They were down by 19 at halftime before making a tremendous comeback to win 42-39.

Greene was able to outscore Walton 30-8 in the final 16 minutes to pick up their 12th straight win. While Payton Yahner was held to just eight points, Abby Yahner and Cassie Butler took charge offensively. Abby finished with a team-high of 14 points while Butler knocked down one three to finish with 10 points.

Greene will host Sidney on Friday at 7 p.m. that might make for another challenge as Sidney had given Oxford its first loss in late December. If Greene’s defense can stay strong, it’ll make for a great game.
