SHERBURNE – The Sherburne-Earlville Marauders hosted neighboring Norwich on Wednesday evening, where the Purple Tornado earned the 40-30 victory in the non-league matchup.

S-E received four forfeits before winning one match after Norwich pounced early on. S-E’s Manny Collins pinned down Norwich’s Aiden Hernandez in the 126 weight class. Other Marauders fought hard to get at least some leverage before going down in defeat.

Selina Moore battled it out with Nate Murphy to take the match into the third period. This was the only match that was not decided by a pin or fall. Murphy won on a major 16-2 decision.

Mason Edwards, Yanni Drapaniotis, Robert McIntyre, and Maverick Beckwith each saw quick pins in their respective matches for Norwich.

Norwich will be at Walton-Delhi tonight at 6 p.m. Sherburne-Earlville will be hosting Oxford-Greene next Thursday at 6 p.m., where they will honor lone senior Brier Cox.
