GREENE – Following a year of growth The Raymond Corporation recently announced it was seeking to hire an additional 200 to 500 people in the coming year, with a range of entry level and technical roles available.

Steve VanNostrand, Executive Vice President at Raymond, said the company's best resource are the employees.

A job fair will be held Saturday, January 21 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Raymond Corporation's main plant and headquarters in Greene.

As the Raymond Corporation continues to celebrate their centennial, the company is ramping up production and assembly on its manufacturing floor to keep up with its demand for forklifts and warehouse solutions.

Expanding its second shift operations, Raymond will be looking to fill jobs including assemblers, material attendants, welders, production operators, and general utilities.

Raymond is looking for all levels of experience, but no experience is necessary.

The Raymond Corporation, a Toyota Industries Corp. company, has been a staple of Chenango County for 100 years.

2022 was a centennial year for the company. Raymond Corporation is a globally recognized provider of material handling products and intralogistics, and it employs more than 7,000 people in its North America facilities. About 2,200 employees are located at the Greene and Syracuse facilities.

The company was founded in Greene in 1922 by George Raymond Sr. He is credited with a number of innovations including the double-faced wooden pallet.
