SHERBURNE – Since finishing second in the Unadilla Valley Holiday Tournament, the Sherburne-Earlville Marauders have snapped a two-game skid with back-to-back wins. The most recent win came last Thursday against Clinton, where S-E held on with a close 46-42 victory.

S-E started out hot in the first quarter with 14 points, but gave Clinton room to put up a good, competitive game. Clinton would threaten late in the game, but S-E’s 18 points in the third quarter helped them hold on when it mattered most.

Alex Gryzmkowski led the Marauders with 21 points and combined with a total of 31 points in the last two games. Hannah Todd-Rogers finished with 13 points and has been a rebound machine with a combined 27 rebounds in the last two games, including 14 in Thursday’s win.

S-E is one game away from being even on the season at 5-6 and they can attempt to do such that against Canastota on Friday at 6 p.m.
