SIDNEY – Both the Unadilla Valley Storm and Sidney Warriors bowling teams came into Tuesday’s matchup fierce, but it was UV who came out with a victory. The boys split the first game in a 1005 tie before UV took the remaining two games and the overall series win. The Storm girls swept all games but in a close 2707-2300 manner.
For the boys, it was Jacob Prentice who came out on top for the Storm with a 696 high series, including a 279 in the first game. Owen Hill, who achieved a high series of 758 against Afton/Harpursville, finished behind Prentice with a 638 with all 201 games and above. Overall, UV continues to be a well-rounded team who comes out to impress with stellar scores.
The girls also shifted leading bowlers around with Kailee Figger taking the high series with a 593, even though Sidney’s Cassie Cole came away with the overall high series of a 604 in the contest.
Finger bowled a 208 in her second game. Teammate Phalen Hill finished behind her and bowled a team-high of a 228 in the first game to achieve a 559 series. UV still continues to be superior in their matches so far this season.
UV will be at Greene-Oxford on Friday at 3:45 p.m.
