NEW BERLIN –Starting the Varsity portion of the Unadilla Valley Holiday basketball Tournament, the Greene Trojans and the Windsor Black Knights girls basketball teams put on quite the battle. Greene pulled out a 36-28 win to stay undefeated through six games this season.

In the MAC-STAC showdown, Windsor did give Greene a scare in the second half. They held the Trojans to three points in the third quarter, but failed themselves to react strongly on offense.

Leading the way for the Trojans was Payton Yahner with 17 points and Cali Knapp with five points and played impressive defense.

Windsor’s Autumn Helstein led the team with 17 points, which included 10 free-throws throughout the game.

Greene will face Sherburne-Earlville in the UV Holiday Tournament championship at 5 p.m. Windsor will face Unadilla Valley in the consolation game at 2 p.m.
