BOWLING: Norwich Splits With Sus Valley

SIDNEY – The Norwich Purple Tornado bowling teams were back on the lanes on Tuesday to host Sus Valley. The Boys were swept 5-0, but the girls redeemed themselves to earn a 5-0 victory.

Leading the way for the girls continues to be Andie Mucha. She bowled a high series of 509 with a 201 in the second game. Emma Manwarren finished behind her with a 407.

Allicyn Bisaha led all bowlers with a 520 series.

For the boys, Norwich and Sus Valley both put up competitive numbers, but it was Sus Valley who had the upper hand. The Sabers had four players bowl a 546 and above.

Norwich also missed having Dawson Robinson in the lineup for this match, but Spencer Root took action to finish on top with a 579 series. His 227 in the final game helped him finish strong. Tim White earn a role in the lineup and finished second on the team with a 508 series.

Sus Valley’s Leon LaBarre led all bowlers in the boys match with a 572 series while teammate James Pittsley bowled a 571.

Norwich will resume its 2022-2023 season on January 9 against Owego at 3:40 p.m.
