BAINBRIDGE – After the recent snow storm canceled many weekend games, the Bainbridge-Guilford boys basketball team returned to the court on Monday hosting Whitney Point. The Bobcats were also grateful to return several players from sickness and injury to help bring them to a close 59-42 victory.

Both teams battled it out in the first half before B-G got the upper hand after halftime. B-G led throughout the entire contest, but showed strength in the final 16 minutes. They scored 19 points in the third quarter and closed it out with 15 in the fourth.

The Bobcats were led by James Hogroian who has pushed the team steadily to start the season. He finished with 24 points while David Emerson had 15 points. Teammate Ilias Wilson picked up six assists in the win.

The Whitney Point Eagles had four leaders compete with B-G and were led by Owen Standish-Warpus with 23 points in the loss.

B-G (2-2) is anticipating tonight’s MAC matchup against the Greene Trojans that will start at 7 p.m.
