BOWLING: NHS Defeats Forks

CHENANGO FORKS– On Tuesday, the Norwich Purple Tornado bowling teams defeated STAC league opponent Chenango Forks. The boys won in a close 2485-2265 victory while the girls slid past the Blue Devils 1970-1723.

For the boys, Aleks Smietana led the team with a 555 series. His 205 in the final game helped Norwich achieve the win. Dawson Robinson finished with a 535 series and bowled a 200 in the first game. Norwich only dropped the second game as two bowlers from Forks had a 203 and a 196 to earn the 772-730 advantage.

Andie Mucha continues to drive the Norwich girls’ team. She finished with a 524 series, including a 204 in the second game. She also had plenty of help from her teammates to achieve the sweep as Kathleen Bordonaro finished with a 409 series.

Norwich will be hosting Windsor from Sidney’s East Main Lanes on Monday, December 19 at 3:40 p.m.
