GREENE – Coming off back-to-back wins against GMU and Deposit, the Greene Trojans looked for their third straight as they hosted Sidney. Greene pulled off a 74-66 win on Thursday evening to improve to 3-1 and 2-0 in the MAC league.

Greene and Sidney battled it out in the first half before Greene took a 39-37 lead at halftime. Both teams scored 22 points; Sidney in the first quarter and Greene in the second.

Coming out for the second half, Greene picked up where they left off with 20 points in the third quarter, which happened to be enough to take the victory.

Jaden Eroshevich was not limited at all in this contest as he scored a team-high of 24 points, including 10 points in the third quarter and laid down one three. Joel Vielandi continues to impress with 19 points, nine of which came in the final eight minutes of play.

Sidney was led by C. VanDerSommen with 25 points and D. Easton with 24 points, who were a threat to the Trojans, but Greene fought back on their end of the court to even out the two.

Greene (3-1) will be on the road against Oneonta on Monday, December 12 at 7:45 p.m.
