GIRLS BASKETBALL: OV Falls Short To Stockbridge

OTSELIC – Coming off a close win against McGraw, the Otselic Valley Vikings girls basketball team hosted Stockbridge Valley where they fell short in a 33-32 deficit.

OV held the Cougars to just nine points in the first half but could not contain them in the final quarter as they scored 16 and had the advantage off of the Vikings’ turnovers.

Cassidy Will led the Vikings with 21 points and had a team-high 12 rebounds and five steals. Behind her was teammate Emily Smith who only scored five points but had 10 rebounds and four steals.

OV (1-1) will be competing in the Sherburne-Earlville tip-off tournament over the weekend with the first game against S-E on Friday at 7:30 p.m.
