BOYS BASKETBALL: Greene Gets By GMU

GREENE – Over the weekend, the Greene Trojans boys basketball team hosted Gilbertsville-Mount Upton, where the Trojans picked up their first win of the season 54-36.

Greene shone early as they took a 32-13 led at halftime with Jaden Eroshevich and William Dunlap paving the way with a combined 21 points, including the team’s 15 points in the first quarter. Eroshevich finished with 14 points while Dunlap had 12. Behind them were Braeden Goerlich and Joel Vielandi who each scored six points.

GMU was playing down a player and had seven take the court. Devin Hartwell led the Raiders and all scorers with 22 points, including three three-point shots. Noah Pain helped with six points while Jeffrey Barnes and Brian Wilson each had four points.

Greene (1-1) will be on the road against Deposit-Hancock on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
