GIRLS BASKETBALL: Greene Strong Against Whitney Point For First Win

GREENE – On Wednesday evening, the Greene Trojans girls basketball team hosted Whitney Point to kick off the 2022 season. Greene dominated and held the Eagles to only 16 points in a 49-16 victory.

It was a full team affair for the Trojans as everyone at least scored two-points in the contest. Abby Yahner led Greene with 10 points while Payton Yahner finished with six points and seven assists. Josie Dutcher had eight points as Cali Knapp scored six points, including one three-point shot.

The Eagles were led by Sarah Somers with 12 points in the loss.

Greene (1-0) travels to Unadilla Valley on Wednesday, December 7 for a league matchup starting at 7 p.m.
