VOLLEYBALL: UV Looks For Back-to-back Titles

NEW BERLIN – On Tuesday, the Unadilla Valley Storm volleyball team defeated Delhi 3-1 in the Semi-finals of the MAC Volleyball Playoffs.

UV fell short in the first set 25-21 but regained confidence and took control of the last three sets.

Leading the way for the Storm were Hudson Lyons with 11 assists and Shannon Kelly with 14 digs. Lyons also picked up five digs and three aces while Kelly had three aces.

Kate Conway contributed with nine assists, six digs, five kills, and four aces as teammate Bella Jones earned seven kills in the win. Madison Sayles collected five kills while Erica Mumbulo had four kills.

Ashlyn Lyons had three aces to close out the scoring.

The Storm is still riding on an undefeated season and looks to keep it alive in a rematch against Oxford for the Tournament Championships on October 22 at Delhi College. UV also looks for back-to-back titles after winning the MAC last season.

The match will start at 6 p.m. and admission will be charged; $3 for Students, $5 for adults, and anyone under 10 will get in for free.
