Daughters Of The American Revolution And Libraries Collecting For Local Veterans' Home
Published: October 18th, 2022

OXFORD – The Go-Won-Go Chapter of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution have has teamed up with the Moore Memorial Library in Greene, the Oxford Memorial Library in Oxford and the Guernsey Memorial Library in Norwich to collect personal hygiene items for the veterans at the New York State Veterans’ Home in Oxford. Each library has a box in their respective libraries where patrons may drop off items. All items collected for our Veterans will be delivered before Veterans' Day.

Some suggested items could include but are not limited to soap, shampoo, conditioner, deodorant, nail clippers, nail files, tissues, socks, hand lotion, combs, tooth brush and tooth paste, shaving cream etc.

It would also be nice to include a card addressed to “A Veteran” thanking them for their service that staff could hand out to resident veterans.
