BOYS SOCCER: OV Spoils Moravia’s Senior Night

MORAVIA – On Thursday, the Otselic Valley Vikings boys soccer team came to play against Moravia in the 6-2 win, spoiling the Blue Devils’ senior night.

OV scored two of its six goals on rebounds from the keeper and led 3-1 at halftime.

Moravia threatened early on in the second half, making it a close 3-2 game. But, OV wasn’t done as they came back to score three unanswered goals to seal the win.

The Vikings were led by Owen Davis and Brandon Blanco who each scored two goals. Teammates Braeden Davis and Cole Warren both scored one goal each.

Lukas Schieferstein, Owen Davis, and Ryatt Bilodeau each picked up an assist. Goalie Caleb Loomis made five saves in the win.

Braeden Davis leads the Vikings with 26 points with 12 goals and two assists while Owen Davis has seven goals and an assist. Senior Brandon Blanco has five goals and a team-best four assists with two games remaining.

After defeating Moravia in a non-league game, the Vikings close out the 2022 season against league opponents DeRuyter and Madison. OV travels to DeRuyter this evening at 7 p.m. and then hosts Madison Saturday at 4:30 p.m.
