GREENE – After both teams held onto a 1-1 tie throughout the game, Greene’s Andrea Trifunovic scored the game-winner with five minutes to go against Unadilla Valley to win 2-1.

The Storm got on the board first as Jaiden Schrag touched on a pass at around midfield to Kadence York who dribbled up and scored off the far left side.

York, Schrag, and Kailee Figger put up multiple shots (five plus) as UV outshot Greene 30-8. Greene’s goalie Molly Cornell saved 21 shots that went in her direction.

Greene’s Cassie Butler tied the game at 1 off a direct foul with nine minutes left in the first half.

In the second half, UV had a few chances to break open the game as Bella Potter picked up two penalty shots, but her shots on goal went wide.

The game was competitive up until the five minute mark when Andrea Trifunovic scored on an offensive drive off a corner kick. That shot was the game-winner.
