NORWICH – The Norwich Cyclones Football and Cheer program, who entered their second season in the STYFC (Southern Tier Youth Football Conference), have started out where they left off last season. All three levels, Flag, B-Team(Tackle) and A-Team(Tackle) have had success so far in the 2022 season. The Cyclones entered week 5 of their season this past weekend as they traveled to

Johnson City. The Flag Team(5-0), led by coach Jeremy Tompkins and staff continued their great display of effort on the gridiron winning 27-6. Following that game was the B-Team (3-2) game, led by coach Brandon Foulds and staff as they performed a great display of hard work coming up with a 26-18 win. The final game of the afternoon was the A-Team, led by coach Donny Lawrence and staff. Coming off a 2021 championship season (10-0), where half of that team returned for the 2022 season, multiple great plays were performed by several players leading to a 33-0 win. The Cyclones look to continue their success this weekend as they travel to Vestal to take on the Golden Bears. Games will be played at the Vestal High School.
