NORWICH – On Thursday evening, the Norwich Purple Tornado defeated Chenango Forks 3-1 on Senior Night. A night where its nine seniors were recognized.

Haley Beckwith, Elli Ryan, Natalee Franklin, Karoline Olesen, Emily Flynn, Madison Vaughn, Brianne Miner, Alexandra Roque, and Sarah Davis were honored for their dedication to the Norwich girls soccer program.

Norwich led 2-0 at halftime, thanks to two goals by Davis. Her first goal came with 18 minutes left in the half off a pass by Elli Ryan. Davis would score again with five minutes till halftime and Maya Adoff picked up the assist.

After Chenango Forks answered back to start the second half, Bella Dilorio sealed the deal with an unassisted goal with 28 minutes left. Then, the Tornado defense stood their ground for the remainder of the game.

Norwich travels to Owego-Apalachin for a nightly 7 p.m. match-up on Tuesday, September 27.
