Golf: NHS Picks Up Another Win Against Sus Valley

CONKLIN – On Wednesday, the Norwich golf team stepped on another challenging course, but it didn’t stop them from earning a 228-264 victory over Sus Valley. The second time Norwich has defeated them this season.

Jacob Dowdall finished as the top medalist for the Purple Tornado with a 42, including having two birdies in the round. Behind him, Julien Smith shot a 44 while Braden Reid had a 45. Aiden Stafford chipped in a 48 as Senior Logan Waters saw some good action with a 49.

Sun Valley was led by Isaac Spottek who shot a team-best 42 on the day, but his teammates could not follow.

Norwich has only three home matches remaining before the Class B Championship on October 3 and the STAC Championship on Oct. 11.

Norwich heads back out on the green today as they host Owego-Apalachin at 4 p.m.
