CHENANGO VALLEY – On Tuesday, the Norwich Purple Tornado golf team snuck away with a close 249-259 victory over Chenango Valley. The par-36 course was something coach Dave Branham said was “probably the most difficult course” his team would see all year. He knew it was a struggle but was still proud of his team to come home with the win.

Leading the way for Norwich was Julien Smith and Carmine Pastore, who both shot a 49 on the day. Following behind them was Aiden Stafford and Jacob Dowdall who both chipped in a 50 and Braden Reid stood alone with a 51.

Chenango Valley’s top golfer shot a 47, but the rest of the team could not follow.

Norwich will take on another challenging course as they head to the Conklin Players Club to take on Sus Valley this afternoon.
