GIRLS SOCCER: Otselic Valley Starts 2022 Season Off Strong

OTSELIC VALLEY – The Otselic Valley Vikings picked up three wins to start its 2022 season. It is their first season under head coach Megan Hoellerer. The Vikings picked up wins over Madison, Brookfield, and DeRuyter.

Over the period of the three games, OV’s junior Rachel Loomis had a great start, scoring five goals including two in the 2-1 win over DeRuyter. She also had one assist, totaling 11 points in three games.

Teammate Emily Smith scored two goals while Susanna Lyon had one goal and two assists. Tori Foster scored one goal and one assist as Kali Waltz had two assists.

Goalie Cassidy Will had 38 saves in the last three games, including 23 saves against DeRuyter.

“I am very excited to be able to coach this great group of girls this year,” Coach Hoellerer said after the first game. “The team has really started to show improvements from the start of season to now and I am looking forward to watching these girls continue to grow and prosper this season.”

OV looks to stay strong as they host Cincinnatus on Wednesday afternoon.
