NEW BERLIN – While the South New Berlin Horseshoe Club has been in a back and forth battle all season for the top spot, Kelly’s Flowers, Ed Kohler and Lee Coon, continues to show they’re worthy with a 41.5-10.5 record, the best in the club. The second spot continues to be hotly contested as Harrington Tree Service, Danny Harrington and Lance Gage, moved from fourth place to second to pass The Trophy Guy, who now sits in third.

Kelly’s Flowers continues to dominate in the team high categories, taking three out of four for the week of August 4. They lost out to Carpet Protectors, Brian Prentice and Josh Prentice, in the team handicap high singles and fell to third behind Sheryl and Bob Rowe of Laughlin’s Lawn Care.

To make the week even crazier, Dale Lund of Rustic Ridge finished second in the men’s high singles and high series. As a team, Lund and partner Ron Anderson continue to inch their way into the top 10, moving up to number 12. Stafford Builders’ Al Patten led the men’s high singles with 89 points while Ed Kohler scored 241 to take the high series.

For the women, it was all Jess Sherwood. Sherwood scored 85 points to earn the victory in the high singles while scoring 220 points ahead of Kate Lloyd’s 191 in the high series. The South New Berlin Horseshoe club plays every Wednesday night.
