The biggest smiles were evident each time the two-seat cars ran with a Pathfinder student racer in the front, and a scout in the rear seat.

The race concluded with Mayor Peter Lennon and his wife, Elaine, racing a two-seater down the street before awarding everyone with patches.

The New Berlin DPW created a smooth and safe runway by patching even the smallest cracks.

All three troops enjoyed the beauty of camping Friday night at Millbrook. All participants enjoyed fabulous pizza from the NY Pizzeria. Curtis Lumber made the street safe by donating tubing to cushion the driveway cutouts.

As part of the New Berlin Community Day, events, all three troops served at the Antique Auction fundraiser on Saturday afternoon for the new New Berlin Youth Center. Future events sponsored by NBYC, Inc., 34 North Main Street, are listed at  www.NBYouthCenter.org

The Eagle Scouts of New Berlin Boy Scout Troop 61 also hosted the annual Millbrook Invitational Encampment, April 29 - May 1.

Saturday afternoon was marked by a clean-up of trash as the scouts circled the lake and perimeter of the Millbrook Recreation Area. On June 13, Liam, the boy leader of Troop 61, presented a plaque of appreciation to the New Berlin Town Board for their continued support of the event and of scouting in New Berlin.

The Family Picnic and Court of Honor Ceremony on June 29 featured the delicious Dutch Oven treats by Brent (peach cobbler) and David’s infamous corn bread. Blake, Landen, and Thomas were awarded the Scout Badge rank.  Brent, Cait, Garrett, and Matt were inducted as Assistant Scoutmasters.    Thank you one and all for your volunteer efforts in reviving Scouting in 2021-2022.
