SNB Horseshoe Club: The Trophy Guy Stands Tall For The Second Straight Week

NEW BERLIN – After passing Kelly’s Flowers last week, The Trophy Guy, Cindy and Joe Miller, have control of the top spot in the South New Berlin Horseshoe Club for a second consecutive week. The Trophy Guy picked up four wins in team play to hold a best record of 35-13. Kelly’s Flowers is behind them with a record of 33.5-10.5. P&E stand still in the third spot while Baillie Lumber and Carpet Plus Color Tile close out the top five of the standings.

Dale Lund won both the men’s high singles and high series. Lund scored 95 points, ahead of Ed Webster’s 86 and Mike Grant’s 79 for the high singles. He put up 246 points ahead of his teammate Ron Anderson (196) and Mike Grant (194) in the high series.

Lund and Anderson of Rustic Ridge remained in the bottom half of the standings but won both the team high singles and the high series. Rustic Ridge scored 162 points in the high singles with Webster Paving and Baillie Lumber behind them. They also scored 442 points for the team high series victory.

Webster Paving, Ed Webster and Bob Wells, earned both team handicap victories. They scored 234 points in the team handicap high singles and a best-637 points in the team handicap high series.

Kate Lloyd regained her spot with a victory for the women. She held a two-point advantage in the high singles as she scored 73 points over Jess Sherwood’s 71. Cindy Miller finished in third with 69 points. Lloyd earned the high series win with 199 points.

The South New Berlin Horseshoe club plays every Wednesday night.
