Sherburne-Earlville Track And Field Compete In Section III Class B Championship

LITTLE FALLS – On Thursday May 26, the Sherburne-Earlville track and field teams competed in the Section III Class B Championship held at Little Falls High School. The girls finished in eighth place with 19 points while the boys were tied for 10th with 14 points.

For the girls, Lily Stoddard earned top two finishes in the discus and shot put events. In discus, she finished in first with a best throw of 97-05 while coming in second in the shot put (27-10.50). Teammate Madison Camenga finished sixth in the 100 meter hurdles with a time of 18.84 seconds.

For the boys, Aidan Camenga achieved third place in the 400 meter hurdles with a time of 1:05.11 while Seth Lane finished fifth (1:06.23). Camenga also placed fifth in the 110 meter hurdles (18.73 seconds).

In the 4x800 relay, S-E earned fifth place with a team of Zach Trass, Braden Lewis, Ryan Solloway, and Josh Larchar (9:20.07).

Aidan Camenga, Lily Stoddard and Zach Trass will be moving on to compete in the Section III State Qualifiers. Good luck to all.
