CHENANGO COUNTY — The Chenango County Health Department would like to announce a few important staff changes that have taken place within the department.

Marcas Flindt has been the Public Health Director for nearly 25 years. Marcas voluntarily retired on April 29, 2022. Isaiah Sutton has been appointed the new Public Health Director by the Chenango County Board of Supervisors effective April 30, 2022. We would like to thank Marcas for his many years of service to the community and for leading our team through the pandemic.

Isaiah Sutton has spent most of his career in public health and began working in Chenango County in 2005. Isaiah previously held the position of Environmental Health Director from 2011 to 2022 under Marcas Flindt.

Isaiah ‘s educational experience includes A.S., A.A Finger Lakes Community College in Liberal Arts; B.S. Cornell University, Natural Resource Policy and Management; and MPH Albany University, Public Health Practice. Our public health team is excited to welcome Isaiah in his new role at Director.
