NORWICH– The Norwich Purple Tornado softball team concluded its 2022 season Friday against Bainbridge-Guilford. The two teams had to finish a tied game set in the eighth inning and play a full game afterwards. B/G won both games.

In the resumed tied game, both teams started with a runner on second base like many teams do in extra innings. B/G’s “ghost” runner made it home and was the game-winner.

In the second game, Norwich was outscored 16-3. Rhianna Philbrick, Tessa Doland, and Emma Brooks all contributed with three singles.
