NORWICH — The UHS Senior Living staff at Chenango Memorial Hospital is excited to wear their new t-shirts which state “Got Zero.” The got zero statement represents the outstanding results from the most recent New York State Safety survey. The staff hosted the multi-member survey team during the several day survey and produced results that were worthy of celebration.

With thousands of areas of focus, the team on the Senior Living floor had zero nursing deficiencies. Very few nursing facilities can boast this type of performance, and the staff on the second floor of the hospital is understandably proud. When asked about the survey results, the staff inevitably reflects gratitude back to the residents and how they enjoy working among them every day.

These annual surveys are unannounced and generally a real surprise to the staff and UHS Chenango Memorial Hospital. The staff was provided with these t-shirts after the results were received and wear them with pride several days a week.

Congratulations!! Although I do not have a family member in this facility - I have always heard positive feedback on the Nursing Home at UHS. Perhaps other nursing facilities in the are should reach out to obtain coaching/training from them. Keep us the good work :)
