DERUYTER— The Otselic Valley Vikings suffered a 17-8 loss to DeRuyter on Friday afternoon.

Cassidy Will took the mound for the Vikings and struck out five batters in the loss. She also doubled and scored two runs at the plate.

Behind Will, Rylie Bartlett went 2-for-4 with two singles and scored two runs. Elle Wood also scored two runs in her plate appearance.

For the Rockets, Kelsey Brown struck out 14 batters while going 3-for-4 with a double at the plate. Abriana Whitt hit two home runs while Amaya Rounsaville had three singles and three runs scored on the day.

Otselic Valley looks to bounce back from the loss when they travel to Stockbridge this evening before facing Cincinnatus on Wednesday.
