OXFORD – The Oxford Memorial Library is offering a special program on quilting. The program is at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 24 and Thursday, March 31, and is for adults only.

Participants will be making a 9 Patch Quilt table runner. You need to sign up at the library ASAP as spots are very limited, be sure to ask for the list of supplies you will need to bring including your own portable sewing machine. If you ever wanted to learn the basics of quilting this is a great way to start.

Thursday, April 21 from 5:30 to 8 p.m. is our family game night. Bring your own or use one of our many board games.

On Thursday, April 28 at 6 p.m. we will be sponsoring The Importance of Focus by Greg Dwyer. If you want to find out more about life and would like to focus on making it happen, this interactive workshop is for you. Greg Dwyer will show you how to create real magic in your life and get more of what you desire. He is an inspiring speaker and will share nuggets of wisdom for you to ponder.

The Oxford Memorial Library is one of the very few places in Chenango County that has charging stations for electric cars. We have two Blink charging stations at the far end of our parking lot.

The charging station is basically powered by our solar panels so there is currently no charge to use the charging station. We would encourage anyone using the charging station during library hours to come on in, read the newspapers and browse around the library.

Our library does not require masks but we certainly encourage you to wear one if it makes you more comfortable.

The Oxford Memorial Library is part of the Four County Library System so our library is much larger than just our four walls. You can go online and reserve books, books on CD, DVDs, etc., and when they come in for you we will notify you. You may choose to be notified by either phone, e-mail or text.

The Oxford Memorial Library is your home town community center for information and entertainment. We are a great place to meet friends and neighbors. We provide so much more than just books and we have a fantastic staff waiting to help you.
