Sherburne Reelects Acee As Village Mayor

SHERBURNE – According to the Village of Sherburne Clerk's Office, the vote for village mayor has reelected long-time incumbent William Acee.

Following a strongly contested campaign, officials confirmed Acee received 250 votes and his challenger, Jansen Casscles received 117 following Tuesday's election.

“Thank you for your overwhelming support. I am honored to lead Sherburne as the Mayor for another four years. Let’s Keep Sherburne Moving Forward,” Acee said in a statement following the results.

Two other elections for two open seats on the Village of Sherburne Board reelected Christopher Tomaselli with 261 votes and elected Michael Janitz with 254 to the seat being vacated by trustee Robert Smith.

They will also serve four year terms.
