COVID-19 Update for Chenango County

CHENANGO COUNTY – As of Friday there are 713 active cases of COVID-19 in Chenango County, 336 of which are vaccinated, and 15 individuals are currently hospitalized, none of which are vaccinated.

The Chenango County Department of Health confirmed there have been 7,120 total cases of COVID-19 in Chenango.

There have been 92 confirmed deaths.

The health department also confirmed there are 1,046 residents under quarantine.

So far approximately 181,829 tests for the virus have been administered in the county.

Chenango County Health Department Director of Environmental Health and Code Enforcement Isaiah Sutton said the county is currently working to implement new guidelines issued by New York State.

"Chenango County is working to implement the new isolation and quarantine guidelines issued by NYS earlier this week," said Sutton. "We ask for patience as we make this pivot. We are working on self-service tools to streamline the reporting and release process. As soon as those tools are available they will be posted to our website."
