Greene 46, Windsor 41

NEW BERLIN -  Greene remained unbeaten on the season, and advanced to Unadilla Valley Tournament finals holding off Windsor on Tuesday afternoon.

Down by one to the Black Knights entering the fourth quarter, the Trojans (5-0) played their best offensive basketball when it mattered most.

Cassie Butler scored seven of her 12 points in the fourth quarter, one that she capped with a 3 ball. Payton Yahner added five in the fourth, and Olivia Kennedy four of her game-high 19 points.

"We played well, and shot the ball horribly most of the game," said Greene coach Dave Gorton. In the fourth quarter, we hit some shots. It was as simple as that."

NEW BERLIN - Unadilla Valley won for the second time this season, and has a chance to avenge an early-season loss as it topped Sherburne-Earlville in the UV tourney on Tuesday.

The Storm (2-5) advanced to the championship game against Greene, a team it lost to earlier this month in each team's season-opener.

Kadence York carried the offensive load for Unadilla Valley scoring a game-high 18 points.

"We got off to a slow start, and a slower third quarter," said UV coach Brandi Whitbeck. "Luckily, we made our foul shots when we needed them."
