NORWICH – NBT Bank’s newest Wall of Art installation features the work of local artist Henry Drexler. NBT’s Wall of Art is made possible through the bank’s partnership with the Chenango Arts Council.

“Henry Drexler is such a talented artist with a long history of involvement and support of the Chenango Arts Council,” said Executive Director Alecia ONeill. “We're thrilled to feature his work on the NBT Wall of Art for everyone to enjoy.”

 

Henry Drexler shared his thoughts on what his creations portray.

 

“The  landscape  of  central New York inspires my work,” said Drexler. “Time, weather and seasonal change affect the appearance of this landscape and create fleeting moments that catch my attention. Responding to the visual and emotional impact of these moments imbues my work with feeling and sense of place. My work has evolved over time as I have experimented with different painting techniques and developed ideas for separate bodies of work.”

 

Drexler’s work will be on display until the end of January 2022 when NBT will welcome offerings from artist Julian Button.
