Stockbridge Valley 2, Otselic Valley 1

SOUTH OTSELIC - One day removed from a 7-1 loss to Stockbridge Valley, the Vikings girls nearly sprung the upset dropping a one-goal defeat to the same Indians club.

Katie Kenyon scored unassisted in the first half for OV after a scramble in front of the goal following teammate Allie Marsala's drive to the corner and crossing pass to middle of the penalty box area.

"(We) played our best game this season against a very good Stockbridge team," said OV coach Cindy Buerkle. "The defense really stepped up."

OV hosts McGraw Friday in its season finale.
