Boys' soccer:

Unadilla Valley/G-MU 7, Oxford 0

NEW BERLIN - Unadilla Valley/G-MU was prolific on offense in both halves as it shutout visiting Oxford on Tuesday.

Haywood Edwards had the first of the first half and second goal of the second half for UV/G-MU, and Ben Gorrell figured in three goals totaling two goals and one assists.

Owen Hill, Trason Murray, and Zach Fleming added tallies for UV/G-MU, which plays at Greene Thursday.

Girls' soccer:

Greene 3, Oxford 2 (OT)

GREENE - With time running out in the second overtime, Greene averted a tie, and avenged last month's loss to Oxford scoring with 1:17 remaining to earn the win Tuesday.

Cali Knapp scored unassisted for the Trojans, which had the better of the offensive opportunities outshooting the Blackhawks 20-7.

Kaylin Tefft scored midway through the first half for Oxford giving it the early lead, but the Trojans' Cassie Butler tied the game 11 seconds before halftime.

Butler scored the go-ahead goal with 11:55 left in the game before Oxford's Taylor Smith forced overtime scoring unassisted in the 37th minute of the second half.

SHERBURNE - Sherburne-Earlville's field hockey team rebounded from back-to-back losses at the Greene tournament last weekend beating New York Mills in overtime on Tuesday.

Alexus James figured in both Marauders goals. James scored once, and assisted on Desirae Owen's goal.

The Marauders have an immediate rematch with Tuesday's foe as it travels to New York Mills today.

HARPURSVILLE - Oxford reached double-digit victories on its final regular season match as four of its five players broke 50 in Tuesday's road victory over Harpursville/Afton.

Playing the par-34 front nine at Belden Hill Golf Club, Bennett Paden led the Blackhawks (10-3) shooting a 47. A trio of Oxford players - Ethan Hodge, Adam Ross, and Christian Paden - shot 48, and Liam O'Brien added a 51.

Girls' swimming:

Susquehanna Valley 76, Greene 59

GREENE - Greene's Olivia Ketzak and Skyler Nowalk won two individual events apiece, but in the end, Susquehanna Valley's slightly better depth allowed it to prevail over the Trojans on Tuesday.

Ketzak won the 200- and 500-yard freestyle races, while Nowalk won the 50- and 100-yard freestyle. Ketzak and Nowalk also teamed with Mallory Jeffery and Savannah Nowalk to win the 200-yard freestyle relay in 2:14.08.

Greene travels to Chenango Forks Tuesday, Oct. 12.
