GREENE- In the Nancy Barrows/Nancy Barrows championship game on Saturday, Afton/Harpursville recorded its second victory of the season over Greene again winning by shutout.

All-tournament selection, Lexi Schultz scored with 3:02 remaining in the first quarter to give A/H the early advantage.

The only other goal came from fellow all-tourney selection Makenna Lowe. Lowe scored with just over two minutes remaining in the second quarter.

Greene's Olivia Kennedy, Payton Yahner, and Paige Estabrook were named to the all-tournament team.

Joining Lowe and Schultz on Afton/Harpursville's all-tournament roster were Cassidy Hoyt and Hailey Crosby.

The defeat snapped Greene's three-game winning streak.

Oxford 4, Walton 0

WALTON - Coming off a week layoff, Oxford took a full half for its offense to click in a shutout victory at Walton on Friday.

The Blackhawks (8-3) led 1-0 at the half before pulling away with three second-half goals.

"It was not our best shooting night, but we got the job done," said Oxford coach Sierra Badger. "Our defense played very well. They were able to keep the ball on Walton's side of the field tonight."

Hailey Fleury had two goals and one assist for Oxford (8-3). Taylor Smith and Bailey Chesebro also scored goals in the victory.

BINGHAMTON - Norwich managed just a single team point earning a forfeit at first singles in Friday's road loss to Seton Catholic Central (8-2)

Emma Brooks was given the forfeit at first singles for the Purple Tornado (5-7). The next-best performance for NHS was at fourth singles.

Playing her third straight third-set tiebreaker, NHS's Jolei Powell was edged by the Saints' Emma Nagorny, 2-6, 6-2, 11-9.
